Job summary

GeoSpectrum Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Information Services to lead planning, execution, and governance of complex IT projects. You will work with IT, IS, and IM leads, and partner with Procurement and external partners to ensure delivery on scope and budget.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Cyber & IT, Project Manager, Information Services is responsible for leading the planning, execution, governance, and successful delivery of complex information and technology projects across the organization. This role works closely with the leads of the Information Technology (IT), Information Security (IS), and Information Management (IM) groups, and partners with Procurement and external partners to ensure projects are delivered in scope and on budget while achieving defined business outcomes.

The Project Manager provides leadership across the full project lifecycle, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, implementation, transition, and closeout. This role also contributes substantially to continuous improvement of project delivery practices, including project governance and consultant oversight.

Responsibilities
Project Management and Oversight
  • Lead the planning, implementation, evaluation and closeout of multiple concurrent projects in the Information Services domain.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Define project deliverables, success criteria, and implementation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Oversee Statements of Work (SOWs), deliverables, milestones, service levels, and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor project performance, progress, and overall project health using established reporting and governance processes.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, steering committee updates, and key decision-making sessions.
  • Manage project issues, assumptions, decisions, dependencies, and escalation processes.
  • Ensure successful transition of completed projects into operations through knowledge transfer, documentation, and support planning.
Governance and Process Improvement
  • Establish and maintain project governance structures, processes, standards, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methodologies, governance practices, and organizational project delivery capabilities.
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct project health assessments, quality reviews, and lessons learned activities to support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and governance records.
  • Monitor and report on project outcomes, benefits realization, and overall business value.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to GTI ISO 9001 Quality Management program.
  • Proactively participate in professional development, performance reviews, and training.
  • Participate in organizational occupational health and safety education, prevention, promotion, and reporting.
Qualifications
Education
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or another related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-ACP (PMI Agile Certified Practitioner) considered an asset.
  • Equivalent combinations of industry education and experience will be considered.
Experience
  • 6+ years progressive project management experience, including leadership of organizational, cross-functional projects in a complex environment.
  • Experience preparing and presenting project updates to senior leadership, steering committees, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing consultants, implementation partners, statements of work, and contract deliverables.
  • Experience contributing to project governance, PM processes, reporting and project delivery standards.
  • Experience working with enterprise technology teams preferred.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build consensus.
Security Requirements

All candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security clearances.
