Job summary

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Project Manager for the xwməθkwəy̓əm Archaeology Centre on a primarily on‑campus role with a hybrid work option. The role coordinates a multi‑disciplinary team, manages CFIs and project budgets, and advances collaborations with Indigenous communities, faculty, and external partners.

You will drive strategic planning, oversee grant applications and reporting, and support governance, with a focus on responsible data stewardship and community

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: post‑graduate degree or equivalent professional designation with a minimum of four years of related experience, or an undergraduate degree with six years of related experience.
  • Strong ability to manage budgets, grants, and complex projects within a university setting.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic planning and organization building with Co-Leads and project team.
  • Grant management, proposals, and reporting with partners and funders.
  • Centre operations and finance, including purchasing, budgets, and reporting.
  • Staff supervision, recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
