Job Title: Project Manager 1
Location: G3 Head Office (On-Site)
Project Managers I at G3 coordinates and supports the delivery of projects, programs, business initiatives, and often managing multiple efforts simultaneously. They support project planning, execution, budget tracking, risk management, stakeholder communication, and reporting to help achieve business objectives.
The Project Manager I coordinates projects, initiatives, and workstreams, and has a foundation of project delivery skills. This role requires the ability to demonstrate effective organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities. The Project Manager I is also adaptable and experienced in Agile delivery practices, including working within Agile teams or serving in a Scrum Master capacity as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
- Coordinate project team activities throughout the project life cycle, facilitate development of the work plan, and encourage collaboration and follow-through on agreed commitments.
- Establish a work plan for project activities, iterations, or phases.
- Ensure that project goals are in line with business objectives.
- Monitor progress toward approved project goals, coordinate required activities, and escalated risks or barriers that may affect successful delivery.
- Communicate status on projects to stakeholders.
- Support the team in estimating work effort and developing release plans for software projects
- Facilitate agile ceremonies, encourage interactions, and maintain project artifacts
- Identify and help address delivery obstacles, facilitate constructive discussion of team concerns, and elevate conflicts or barriers that require additional guidance or authority as required.
- Maintain a good working relationship between product owners and team members
- Support team members regarding agile and scrum methodologies.
- Assist with Business Analysis tasks where required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer/Information sciences, mathematics, business/MIS or related field from an accredited college or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of relevant and demonstrated IT project management work, utilizing Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or a blending of the above frameworks in complex environments with highly successful outcomes.
- Technology underpinnings and project management experiences with workflow automation platforms, ERP systems, financial platforms, ITSM, network, operating system, database, and software development is considered an asset. PMI Certifications helpful but not required.
- Experience with Project management tools and PowerPoint a must
- Ability to manage multiple foundational projects on a regular basis.
- Ability to grasp technical details of new technologies and the application thereof.
- Ability to manage foundational teams, assign tasks, and keep a focused effort on key deliverables and timelines.
- Ability to describe technical project challenges to non-technical stakeholders
