Qualifications

  • Mindestens 8 Jahre Erfahrung in einem Beratungsumfeld, Schwerpunkt auf Bergbau und/oder Schwerindustrie.
  • Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung im Projektmanagement multidisziplinärer Projekte.

Responsibilities

  • Unterstützung bei der Ressourcen- und Budgetverwaltung.
  • Koordination der Ingenieurdienstleistungen mit den Fachleitern.

The Opportunity:

Our Resources subsector, a key component of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients coast to coast. Over the decades, we have developed a wide range of services, including economic studies, project management, detailed design, procurement, site management, commissioning, and industrial programming. This division provides comprehensive services to industrial and mining projects, from conceptual and feasibility studies to complete detailed engineering in EPCM, as well as mine site closure and dismantling. Our experts collaborate to deliver services that meet our vision: to uphold the highest industry standards and innovate to surpass them.

To meet our growth challenges, WSP is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team based in Timmins, Ontario.

This role involves supporting the project management team in delivering engineering outputs on complex multidisciplinary mining and/or heavy industrial projects from inception to completion.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Support resourcing and budget management
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables with discipline leads
  • Maintain man-loading and project scheduling
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules and cost control reports
  • Manage project changes
  • Develop and oversee HSE and Quality procedures for each project
  • Handle owner and stakeholder reporting, represent WSP at meetings, and address client issues
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to project scope matters
  • Capture and report lessons learned from previous projects and project phases
  • Lead or support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and project scoping
  • Perform other duties as required

What you'll bring to WSP:

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering
  • At least 8+ years of experience in a consulting environment focused on Mining and/or Heavy Industrial projects
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience managing multidisciplinary projects
  • Ideally EIT, CET, or P.Eng. designation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • A self-motivated individual seeking advancement opportunities
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Valid driver's license
