Job summary

GAMARC Consulting in Canada seeks a Project Manager (heavy Industrial) to lead end-to-end management of industrial construction projects across lump sum, design-build, and cost-plus formats. The role requires 5+ years of experience, a construction management degree, and proficiency in scheduling, cost control, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing industrial or general construction projects, $5M–$20M in scope.
• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, cost control, contract administration, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project delivery including start-up, scheduling, procurement, execution, and closeout.
• Oversee site conditions, scope changes, cost controls, and client reporting.
• Direct and mentor field teams including Project Coordinators, Superintendents, and Safety Advisors.
• Manage subcontractor relationships, procurement, and compliance.
• Monitor and report on project financials, change orders, and invoicing.
• Collaborate across departments and ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for end-to-end management of industrial construction projects across multiple contract formats (lump sum, design-build, cost-plus, etc.). Youll ensure safe, on-budget, on-schedule delivery while maintaining strong client relationships and building team cohesion.

What You Bring:

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing industrial or general construction projects ($5M$20M), within heavy industry and eartwork related projects
• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, contract administration, and risk management.
• Familiarity with HeavyBid, HeavyJob, and other estimating/project tools is an asset.
• Local subcontractor and supplier relationships in the Thompson-Okanagan area are an advantage.
