Qualifications

• Experience with project and collaboration tools such as PPM, MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent certification is preferred or in progress.

Purpose

The Project Manager contributes to the successful delivery of compliance, regulatory, risk, and transformation initiatives within the Global Compliance Program Delivery. The role is accountable for planning, coordinating, and controlling assigned projects or workstreams from initiation through implementation and closure, ensuring alignment with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, governance, and regulatory expectations.

Working across Compliance, Technology, Business Lines, Corporate Functions, Risk, Finance, Operations, and external vendors, the Project Manager maintains delivery discipline, provides clear management information, and supports timely decisions and escalation. The role operates under the direction of the Director, Program Management and progressively builds broader delivery leadership capability.

Key Accountabilities

End-to-End Project Delivery

• Lead the day-to-day planning and execution of assigned compliance, regulatory, technology, or business transformation projects and workstreams.
• Develop and maintain project charters, objectives, scope, integrated plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and closure activities.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple teams and ensure responsibilities, timelines, and acceptance criteria are clear.
• Monitor progress against approved baselines and recommend corrective actions when delivery deviates from plan.
• Support Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery approaches based on project needs and enterprise standards.

Governance, Reporting, and Controls

• Prepare accurate, concise, and timely status reports, dashboards, committee materials, and decision requests for Director and VP-level governance forums.
• Maintain project artifacts and evidence in accordance with the Enterprise Delivery Framework, PMO standards, audit requirements, internal policies, and regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate governance meetings, document decisions and action items, and follow through to closure.
• Ensure appropriate review and approval of changes to scope, schedule, resources, budget, or delivery approach.

Risk, Issue, Dependency, and Change Management

• Proactively identify, assess, document, and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, actions, and dependencies.
• Develop practical mitigation and remediation plans, identify decision points, and elevate material matters with clear recommendations.
• Assess the delivery impact of changes and facilitate informed trade-off decisions across stakeholders.
• Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day project activities and decisions.

Financial, Resource, and Vendor Management

• Own or support project budgets, forecasts, accruals, actuals, invoicing, and financial variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Support resource planning, capacity tracking, onboarding, allocation, and demand management across project teams.
• Coordinate vendor deliverables, dependencies, financials, and performance obligations in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Identify capacity or funding constraints early and recommend options to protect delivery outcomes.

Stakeholder and Team Leadership

• Build effective partnerships with executive sponsors, business owners, Compliance, Technology, Business Lines, Corporate Functions, delivery partners, and vendors.
• Facilitate alignment on priorities, requirements, decisions, timelines, and delivery accountabilities.
• Communicate complex delivery information clearly for both working teams and senior audiences.
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive, accountable, and outcome-focused team environment.
• Contribute ideas that improve delivery effectiveness, reporting, governance, tooling, and ways of working.

Education, Experience, & Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Five to seven years of progressive project management or delivery experience, preferably within financial services or another large, regulated organization.
• Demonstrated experience delivering medium-to-high complexity initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and dependencies.
• Experience with project planning, financial management, risk and issue management, governance, implementation, and executive reporting.
• Working knowledge of Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Experience with project and collaboration tools such as PPM, MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced ability to prepare clear, data-driven, executive-ready status reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering compliance, regulatory, AML, risk, technology, data, automation, or AI-enabled initiatives is an asset.
• PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent certification is preferred or in progress.
