Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager, Data & AI, to lead end‑to‑end delivery across the Enterprise Data and AI portfolio. You will partner with business, technology, and vendors to ensure programs stay within scope, time, and budget while maturing delivery practices.

You will oversee planning, governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced, regulated financial services environment, driving continuous improvement and strong results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of project or program management experience, preferably within financial services or large enterprises with Data/AI exposure.
• Experience leading technology or business delivery initiatives in large, complex organizations, preferably with Data/AI.
• Hands-on experience with Agile, hybrid and waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex delivery plans, dependencies, and risks.
• Experience supporting large technology or business transformation initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical, data-driven decision making; exposure to enterprise delivery frameworks and governance.
• PMP, ACP, or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day planning and execution of project initiatives within the Enterprise Data and AI portfolio, ensuring alignment to objectives and milestones.
• Coordinate with business, technology, and delivery partners to manage expectations, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, schedules, RAID logs, and dependency tracking across workstreams.
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues with clear recommendations for decisions.
• Prepare accurate status reporting for Director and VP-level forums, including financials, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
• Support Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery environments and continuous improvement of delivery practices.
• Track project budgets, forecasts, and vendor spend; support cost control and resource planning.
• Ensure adherence to delivery frameworks, technology standards, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Support scope, schedule, and priority changes with impact analysis and trade-off decisions.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to project managers and analysts; foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment.
• Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily delivery activities.
• Promote operations aligned with Scotiabank Values and Conduct.

The role:

The Senior Delivery Manager, Enterprise Delivery Office supports Director-level leadership in the end-to-end management of projects within the Enterprise Delivery Office (EDO) Enterprise Data and AI portfolio. This role is accountable for leading project execution, coordination across workstreams, risk and issue management, and delivery governance. The Senior Manager partners closely with business, technology, and external vendors to ensure programs are delivered within scope, timeline, and budget, while progressively maturing delivery practices and ways of working.

What will you do?

• Project Delivery: Lead day-to-day planning and execution of project initiatives within the Enterprise Data and AI portfolio, ensuring alignment to approved objectives, milestones, and delivery plans.

• Agile & Delivery Practices: Support delivery within Agile, hybrid, or waterfall environments and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery standards and practices.

• Quality & Controls: Ensure adherence to Enterprise Delivery Frameworks, technology standards, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Change & Priority Management: Support scope, schedule, and priority changes by analyzing impacts and facilitating informed trade‑off decisions.
• People & Capability Development: Provide coaching and mentorship to project managers and analysts; contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
• Risk Culture: Understand and apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day decision-making and delivery activities.

What do you need to succeed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Project Management, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of project or program management experience, preferably within financial services or large enterprises with specific experience in Data and/or AI
