Job summary

Academy Group in Onoway, Alberta is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to oversee fabrication projects from award to close-out, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met. The role requires commuting to the Onoway site daily and coordinating with internal teams and external subcontractors.

You will develop schedules, review bids, manage drawings, RFIs, change orders, and report project progress to clients while maintaining financial health and margins.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project management, coordination, or site supervision in fabrication, manufacturing, or construction (piping/structural experience an asset).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Bluebeam and scheduling software experience is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
• Excellent communication skills for both client and internal team interaction.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. This position is not eligible for employer sponsorship.

This position is based at our Onoway, Alberta facility. the successful candidate must be able to commute to site daily.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift

Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements:

• Close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing computer terminals, and extensive reading.
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
