Nova Scotia Power is seeking a Project Manager-Engineering in Halifax, NS. You will lead capital projects for substation reliability, guiding them from development and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
You will coordinate with Engineering, Field Operations, Asset Management, System Planning, Environmental Services, Safety, and contractors to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while navigating regulatory requirements.

As Project Manager, Engineering, you will lead capital projects that support the reliability of Nova Scotia’s electrical substation infrastructure. From early project development and business case planning through engineering, construction, commissioning, and closeout, you will have the opportunity to guide complex projects through their full lifecycle and see the tangible results of your work.
Working with high and medium voltage substation infrastructure, you will bring together technical expertise, project leadership, and strong stakeholder collaboration to deliver projects safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. You will partner with teams across Engineering, Field Operations, Control Center Operations, Asset Management, System Planning, Environmental Services, and Safety, while also coordinating with contractors and external stakeholders.
This is an opportunity for an experienced engineering and project management professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex challenges, and working collaboratively across disciplines. You will contribute directly to the successful delivery of reliability-focused capital investments while continuing to build your experience in a complex, regulated utility environment.
Experience with high or medium voltage electrical infrastructure and familiarity with a regulated utility environment would be valuable assets. PMP certification is also considered an asset.
