Job summary

KLS Earthworks is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead earthworks and underground utility projects across Calgary and area. You will report to the Senior Project Manager and oversee projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and quality workmanship.

This role rewards proactive leadership, client relationship building, and collaboration with field operations to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in earthworks, civil construction, or underground utilities.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from award through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, municipalities, utility providers, regulatory authorities, and internal teams.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules, including short-term and look-ahead planning.
• Facilitate project handover meetings and ensure project teams are aligned on scope, objectives, and contract requirements.
• Manage project closeout activities, including deficiency resolution, documentation, and client turnover.
