WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Oversee all stages of multi-family and commercial development construction.
  • Develop Scopes of Work for construction projects and manage Request for Proposals and tender packages.
  • Offer engineering and design support to troubleshoot complex and time-sensitive projects as needed.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for potential developments and provide inputs into investment models.
  • Obtain proposals and coordinate initial schematic design, pre-construction activities, site assessments, and other necessary reports.
  • Utilize cost benchmarking databases to accurately estimate construction costs.
  • Develop comprehensive budgets and schedules for various projects.
  • Support acquisition due diligence by providing cost estimates for large projects or at-risk building systems.
  • Create and maintain the project files, including construction schedule, risk registry, project budget, cost reports, and cash flows.
  • Create progress reports and all other project reporting processes for internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize tools such as RS Means or other benchmarking to accurately estimate construction costs.
  • Coordinate pre-construction activities, including geotechnical, environmental, waterway, market studies, and other necessary reports.
  • Liaise with planning consultants and municipalities to optimize development opportunities.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction Project Management within multifamily or commercial construction environments.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical, Structural, or a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to bring simplicity and clarity to complex or dynamic situations.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with MS Project or similar project management tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Completed or in progress to complete PMP certification within the next year is considered an asset.
  • Eligibility for registration with APEGA as P.Eng. is considered an asset.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is considered an asset.
