Job description

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Project Director is responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial management of a portfolio of projects. He or she ensures that objectives related to quality, safety, schedule, profitability, and customer satisfaction are met while ensuring the optimal use of the company’s resources.

Acting as a leader for project teams, he or she engages various stakeholders, develops lasting business relationships with clients and partners, and contributes to the continuous improvement of organizational practices.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of projects under his or her responsibility;
  • Manage the bidding process, contract negotiations, and the awarding of contracts to suppliers and subcontractors;
  • Optimize the use of human, material, and financial resources;
  • Ensure alignment among project teams and coordinate various internal and external stakeholders;
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients, partners, professionals, and project owners;
  • Identify, analyze, and manage risks that could affect quality, costs, deadlines, profitability, or client satisfaction;
  • Contribute to the improvement of project management processes, tools, and practices.
  • Ensure that projects meet their financial and operational objectives;
  • Monitor budgets, schedules, costs, performance indicators, and financial variances;
  • Approve, track, and document contract changes, additional work, and claims;
  • Implement work methods that promote productivity, professional rigor, and continuous improvement;
  • Conduct post-project analyses and recommend necessary corrective actions.
  • Demonstrate inspirational leadership focused on collaboration, commitment, accountability, and results;
  • Mentor, coach, and support project managers and team members;
  • Promote skills development, knowledge sharing, and succession planning;
