Job summary

EllisDon in Alberta is seeking a Project Manager (Civil) to lead complex civil infrastructure projects from pre-construction through completion. You will manage design coordination, budget, schedule, and safety while coordinating with the superintendent and project team.

The role requires a construction-related degree and at least 8 years of Civil Infrastructure experience, strong client relations, and the ability to mentor a large team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of Civil Infrastructure construction experience as a Project Manager.
• Working knowledge of construction scopes, scheduling, and contract software.
• Ability to mentor and delegate to a large team while maintaining client relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent.
• Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
• Meet with Owners and Architects in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
• Monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated

You As a Project Manager (Civil) Will

Is this the right role for you?

• You have a construction related degree/diploma and a minimum of 8 years of Civil Infrastructure construction experience working as a Project Manager or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience (Design Build and/or P3)
• You have a working knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling, project management and contract software
• You have the ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations
