Project Manager

Location – Pickering, ON

Your role within the team:

1. Accountable for planning and readiness activities related to Pickering RFBR's Replacement Steam Generator (RSG) and key equipment.
2. Provide leadership for all activities related to RSG and other key equipment manufacturing and deliveries.
3. Serve as the primary point of contact for the SR Project, ensuring a consistent methodology for decisions and progress.
4. Report to the RFBR's Steam Generator Replacement Project Director.
5. Work a mix of remote, Pickering Project Office, Atkins-Realis office, and OPG Pickering station, with most time spent at manufacturer facilities. Presence at meetings is expected as needed.
6. Promote a 'ONE TEAM' approach, fostering collaboration and project success.
7. Ensure equipment delivery aligns with safety standards, schedule, budget, and technical requirements.
8. Provide regular progress updates to the Project Director, CanAtom Project Controls, and the client.
9. Manage cost and schedule adherence, including escalation of threats.
10. Identify threats to schedule, cost, or quality early and address them.
11. Seek opportunities for schedule and cost reductions and more efficient methods.
12. Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project requirements and optimize delivery methods.
13. Address quality issues during fabrication proactively.
14. Participate in leadership meetings, offering advice and support.
15. Maintain the Project Risk Register, managing related risks.
16. Coordinate with the client on contract change requests in collaboration with procurement.
17. Track and expedite deliverables, coordinate equipment delivery, and serve as the main contact with the Construction Team.
18. Ensure as-built details are well understood and accessible.
19. Support the Construction team on-site during installation.
20. Provide performance feedback to team members regularly and formally as per company policy, prioritizing in-person communication.
