Job Description:
We currently have an opening for Project Manager (12-month contract) at OREA. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing key projects across major strategic areas including education and professional development and wellness initiatives.
This role requires a professional with expertise in project management, vendor/RFP processes, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering high-impact services to a diverse member base.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
·Lead the planning and delivery of education-related projects, including Learning Management System (LMS) implementation, student registration platforms, course development, and exam administration.
·Collaborate with education teams, instructional designers, and IT to ensure effective deployment of digital and in-person learning experiences.
·Manage timelines, resources, and budgets to meet strategic goals in education delivery.
·Manage the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process for service providers—drafting RFPs, coordinating evaluations, and supporting vendor selection.
·Ensure that program delivery aligns with member needs, compliance requirements, and organizational objectives.
·Establish and maintain project plans, stakeholder communication strategies, and risk mitigation frameworks across different streams of work.
·Track and report on project performance, milestones, and KPIs to senior leadership.
·Serve as the primary liaison to ensure effective coordination and communication among internal teams, vendors, consultants, and external partners.
Qualifications and Experience:
·Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Education, Public Health, Business Administration or a related field (Master’s degree an asset).
·Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in education services
·Knowledge of LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and student registration or learning systems.
·Demonstrated experience managing RFP processes and vendor selection.
·PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
·Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
·Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.
·Project management experience in multiple industries.
·Familiarity with benefits and wellness industries a strong asset.
