About the Role
Throughline Strategy is seeking an experienced advertising or consulting agency project managerwho can seamlessly blend project management expertise with strong business acumen and exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver successful outcomes for our clients and our team. In this role, you will be staffed onto high-impact insights, strategy and medical education projects with a cross-functional and highly collaborative team, and contribute in the following ways:

  • Project Leadership:Develop comprehensive project plans, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver client engagements on time and within scope. Lead project kickoffs, establish governance structures, and manage scope changes through formal change control processes.
  • Client Management:Serve as primary client contact, conducting regular status meetings and providing progress updates. Manage stakeholder expectations, facilitate communication between consulting teams and client organizations, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
  • Team Coordination: Assign tasks, monitor team performance, and provide coaching to consulting staff. Coordinate resources across multiple concurrent projects, manage consultant schedules, and ensure proper workload distribution while maintaining target utilization rates.
  • Financial Oversight:Track project profitability, manage expenses, and monitor budget variances. Prepare financial reports, analyze utilization metrics, and identify opportunities for additional work or contract expansions.
  • Delivery & Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet internal quality standards and client expectations. Coordinate client feedback incorporation, manage formal delivery processes, and facilitate knowledge transfer to client teams for sustainable implementation.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve project processes for consistency across the organization
  • Help improve workplace culture and space
  • Other duties as required

  • 3 years or more experience working in a project management role at an agency or consultancy where external clients were served
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and business communication (written and spoken) skills
  • Demonstrated experience:
    • successfully managing multiple projects with rapidly morphing timelines and requirements at the same time
    • leading teams through ambiguity
    • effectively anticipating and mitigating project risks
    • leading client communications on day to day engagements
  • Passion for working in a health-related field
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Second and third language skills are a plus!
  • Experience in using all G-Suite andMS-Office products and working in a cloud-based virtual environment with PowerPoint and digital collaboration tools (e.g. Zoom, Teams, Mural, Slack, Box etc.).
  • Experience in integrating AI tools into your workflow

Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada and able to travel to the United States and Europe if required. This is a full-time role with potential for travel to client sites. Throughline operates with a hybrid environment work model so employees will work onsite at Yonge and St. Clair for one - three days a weekand remotely for the remainder of the time. Please note, this role is not available as a fully remote role.
