Job summary

Jump Recruitment in Toronto seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead architecture projects from design through completion. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and teams, ensuring high-quality delivery for a diverse portfolio across office, industrial, healthcare, and education sectors.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of architecture experience, an OAA license, and strong leadership. This role offers flexible days and growth opportunities within a collaborative studio environment.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive architecture experience with a strong project delivery record.
  • Licensed with OAA and a solid understanding of professional practice requirements.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and client-relations skills for multi-project delivery.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for producing/reviewing construction documents.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple projects from conception through completion on time and within budget.
  • Develop strategic project plans with objectives, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Coordinate technical and administrative project efforts for high-quality delivery.
  • Serve as primary client contact, ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, and budgets.
  • Proactively manage budgets, schedules, scope, documentation, and communication.
  • Lead project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to timely issue resolution.
  • Develop project scopes, estimate fees, and prepare proposals and contracts.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee closeout activities, inspections, warranties, and completion documentation.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

We deliver top-tier spaces across multiple major market sectors ranging from high-tech manufacturing and industrial distribution facilities to commercial interiors, multi-family projects, healthcare, and educational spaces. We are looking for a Project Manager who is a strong communicator with building science knowledge to guide our diverse range of projects, uphold our commitment to quality, and support seamless delivery across our portfolio.

You will collaborate side-by-side with industry-leading principals and highly skilled design teams.

You won’t get pigeonholed into a single asset class. Our projects span Commercial Office, Industrial, Healthcare, Multi-Family Residential, Education and Retail.

You will have the strategic latitude to apply your best accumulated experience, budget management strategies, and optimization tools to every challenge.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Lead and manage multiple projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic project plans, establishing clear objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resources required for successful project execution.
  • Oversee the coordination of all project efforts, both technical and administrative, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables align with client expectations.
  • Proactively manage project budgets, schedules, scope, documentation, communication, and team assignments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, consultants, and stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and timely resolution of issues.
  • Develop project scopes, estimate fees, and prepare proposals and contracts in collaboration with the leadership team.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or challenges, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including final inspections, certifications, warranties, and completion documentation.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in architecture, with a strong track record of successfully managing projects from design through completion.
  • OAA license and a strong understanding of professional practice requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with the ability to produce and review high-quality construction documents.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC), particularly Parts 3 and 9.
  • Strong understanding of building detailing, construction documentation, and project delivery.
  • Industrial project experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and project teams.
