Job summary

Colliers Project Leaders in Northeastern Ontario is seeking a Project Manager to lead capital projects with a focus on delivering on time and on budget, while building strong client relationships across Ontario.

You will oversee multiple projects through full lifecycles, manage stakeholders, and collaborate with the Business Development Team to pursue opportunities. A university degree and 5+ years' experience are required; PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

  • University degree or diploma in engineering, architecture or equivalent.
  • 5+ years as a Project Manager delivering varied size projects.
  • Public sector project experience is an asset.
  • PMP designation is an asset and supports to complete.

  • Lead programs or large capital projects across varying sizes.
  • Manage all stakeholders including clients and consultants.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and representation on contractual/technical issues.

Your Role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Northeastern Ontario!

As a Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering excellence, ensuring your projects not only meet but exceed client expectations. Y ou have a knack for building strong and trusting client relationships, leading projects across Ontario. You are highly organized, have a keen eye for detail and will lead complex projects from start to finish – on time, on budget and up to client expectations. Your ability to oversee multiple projects through the entire project lifecycle will be key in driving these projects to success, from identifying and addressing gaps to controlling costs and ensuring clear, effective communication.

By collaborating with local community leaders, you'll help deliver world-class facilities that improve the quality of life in communities across Canada, providing access to essential services like housing, education, and healthcare. Responsibilities
  • Develop strong client relationships and act as the client’s single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s goals and objectives
  • Lead programs or work and large capital projects, varying in size and scope.
  • Manage all stakeholders including both clients and consultants
  • Ensure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues
  • Select and organize project teams and establish levels of authority and lines of communication
  • Lead the control of project related documents and deliver all work in accordance and compliance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System and procedures
  • Chair project and site meetings, find resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholders
  • Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, Principal or Regional Vice President
  • Report on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports
  • Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents
Qualifications
  • A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, representing owners to multiple stakeholders in the delivery of projects of varying size and scope in a range of sectors including, particularly buildings and facilities
  • Experience in public sector projects is an asset
  • PMP designation is a definite asset and will be supported to complete
  • Experience building and nurturing long-term client relationships and working collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Projects)

Expected Compensation: $72,158 -$103,993 CAD

This compensation range represents our good‑faith estimate at the time of posting, based on market benchmarks and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined considering the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and regional consideration. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
