Job summary

Apex-Precision-Inc.-1 is seeking a Project Manager to lead manufacturing projects from launch to completion. You will work with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing and Sales to ensure on-time delivery within budget and to customer specifications.

The role demands a solid background in CNC or aerospace manufacturing, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/French is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from launch through completion, coordinating across Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing and Sales.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and priorities.
• Track performance, timelines, risks and deliverables; address delays promptly.
• Coordinate engineering changes and ensure customer requirements are communicated across departments.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and communicate status to customers and teams.
• Coordinate activities across departments to ensure project success and on-time deliveries.
• Ensure materials, tooling, documentation, and resources support production schedules.
• Assist in resolving production issues impacting timelines or deliveries.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and status reports.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve project execution and efficiency.

Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from rom launch through completion. Working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales, this role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements and company quality standards. This role is technical, so previous experience in a CNC manufacturing or Aerospace environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage special projects from launch through completion. Projects can vary from continuous improvement, Lean/5S/Productivity improvement, new product introduction etc.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and priorities.
• Track project performance, timelines, and key deliverables and proactively address risks or delays.
• Coordinate engineering changes and ensure customer requirements are communicated across departments.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
• Communicate project status, timelines, and issues with customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate activities between Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Shipping, and Sales to ensure project success.
• Ensure materials, tooling, documentation, and resources are available to support production schedules.
• Assist in resolving production issues that may impact project timelines or deliveries.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, and status reports.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve project execution and operational efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Project Management, or a related field. PMP certification is considered an asset.
• Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
• Lean 6 sigma - yellow or green belt an asset
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and project management principles.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems such as JobBoss is an asset.
• Bilingual English and French written and spoken to communicate with clients and read and understand customer documentation.
