Job summary

Position summary

The Project Manager is responsible for developing the Production Plan and monitoring the progress of activities required for the various stages of production readiness. They coordinate stakeholders, ensure adherence to timelines, and verify that deliverables, action items, and checklists are completed in accordance with established processes.

Responsibilities
Production Plan Management
  • Develop and maintain the Production Plan to ensure clear visibility into the progress of production readiness activities.
  • Consolidate information from various teams and ensure the integrity of tracking data.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and bottlenecks that may impact schedules.
  • Regularly communicate progress updates and key issues to stakeholders.
Schedule Management
  • Consolidate, maintain, and monitor production readiness schedules in collaboration with functional leads.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional activities to ensure alignment with established milestones and objectives.
  • Track required actions and promptly elevate issues that could jeopardize deadlines.
Checklist and Compliance Management
  • Ensure that production readiness checklists are completed within the required timelines.
  • Verify that required deliverables are available, approved, and compliant with established requirements.
  • Organize and facilitate readiness reviews prior to critical milestones.
  • Maintain traceability of activity progress and associated deliverables.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with the metrology, machining, finishing, assembly, procurement, facilities, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Facilitate communication, coordination, and alignment across all functions.
  • Promote the proactive resolution of issues that may affect production readiness.
Qualification & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automated Production Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in project management, operations management, or project coordination within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in cross‑functional coordination involving Production, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, and R&D teams.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment or within the medical device industry.
Knowledge & Expertise
  • Project management and planning.
  • Knowledge of machining processes and industrialization.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, or equivalent software.
  • Bilingual (French and English). This position requires regular communication with colleagues, suppliers, and customers internationally.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
