Job summary

Foresight Recruitment Group in Montreal is seeking multiple Project Managers to join a leading provider of integrated real estate and facilities management services. You will manage commercial real estate projects across office and retail environments and work closely with clients, contractors and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in project management within commercial real estate, retail project experience is highly valued, and fluency

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience within commercial real estate, construction, facilities, property or a related environment.
• Experience managing commercial projects such as renovations, fit outs, relocations, capital improvements or new construction.
• Retail project experience is highly valued, especially across multiple locations.
• Fluency in French and English required.
• PMP or similar certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from initial scope development through to completion and closeout.
• Develop project plans, budgets, schedules and procurement strategies.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, vendors and other project stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, costs, schedules, risks and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare project documentation, status reports and updates for clients and senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and ensure expectations are clearly defined and managed.
• Coordinate construction and project activities within occupied corporate office and retail environments.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Support the tendering and procurement process, including contractor selection and negotiations.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, safety and adherence to project requirements.
• Manage project changes, deficiencies and closeout activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.

Our client is a leading provider of integrated real estate and facilities management services, supporting some of Canada's largest and most complex organizations. They are looking to add multiple Project Managers to their Montreal team. These individuals will be responsible for managing a variety of commercial real estate projects across corporate office and retail environments, working closely with clients, contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to deliver projects successfully.

This is a strong opportunity for a Project Manager who understands the full project lifecycle and enjoys working in a client focused, fast paced environment.

While office and commercial project experience is relevant, retail project experience is particularly valuable, especially for individuals who have managed multiple locations, renovations, fit outs or projects within an active operating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of project management experience within commercial real estate, construction, facilities, property or a related environment
• Experience managing commercial projects such as renovations, fit outs, relocations, capital improvements or new construction
• Retail project experience is highly valued, particularly experience managing projects across multiple locations
• Corporate office experience is also relevant
• Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement and construction processes
• Experience working with contractors, consultants, architects and other external stakeholders
• Strong communication and client management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Fluency in both French and English is required
• PMP or other relevant project management certification is an asset

The ideal candidate is not necessarily someone who has spent their entire career in a traditional corporate real estate environment. We are interested in Project Managers who know how to run projects. That could include someone coming from retail construction, commercial construction, general contracting, architecture, engineering, facilities, property management or corporate real estate, provided they have the project management experience and client-facing skills required to operate in a complex environment.

Experience working in active retail environments, managing multiple sites or delivering projects while minimizing disruption to operations would be particularly valuable.
