Job summary

Airswift is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join our client’s team in Kitimat, BC on a 1-year contract. You will lead planning and delivery from initiation to completion, overseeing scope, budgets, changes, and risks for capital or closure projects in a large-scale industrial utility.

The role requires strong leadership, technical governance with P.Eng pillars, and experience managing consultants in a multinational, unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Technical experience including P.Eng Project Management Pillars and Gated Process.
• Industrial experience in heavy industry, large complex, unionized environments and multinational setting.
• Leadership experience in prior roles.
• Experience managing consultants or engineering firms.

Responsibilities

• Implements projects in accordance with the approved scope.
• Implements an effective stakeholder engagement plan through the life of the project.
• Monitors, manages and reports all relevant project performance indicators to meet business requirements.
• Manages relationships with key project stakeholders.
• Provides technical support to project stakeholders.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to define, estimate and deliver on requirements.
• Resolves any project delivery performance issues in a timely manner.
• Assists with the sourcing of vendors / consultants as required.
• Identifies and where appropriate implements improvements to project delivery methods.
• Monitors, manages and reports all relevant project performance indicators to meet business requirements.
