We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. We are Making Sustainability Happen.
Role As our new Project Manager with a passion for working on architectural and environmental related projects, you will play your part in our Environmental Sciences Service Line delivering projects for our clients, with a primary focus on projects in Ontario. To accomplish this, you will work closely with the Acoustics & Vibration, Air Quality, and Ecology teams. The intent is to provide project management support across all three of these teams, with minimal requirements for technical tasks. In the role of Project Manager, you will be involved in the full life cycle of projects including responding to RFPs, preparing proposals and budgets, scoping work plans, coordinating and executing projects, managing budgets, client support and communication, data analysis and reviews, reporting, invoicing and project closure. You may also support business development initiatives, leveraging your influence and networks to help strategically grow our operations. Ultimately, this position is a project centric role, with a significant amount of time (more than 50%) spent on proposal preparation. It is preferable for the candidate to have experience with one of the three technical disciplines mentioned above (Acoustics and Vibration, Air Quality, or Ecology). However, SLR provides a wide range of environmental services so similar experience in other areas or disciplines of environmental consulting is welcome. Experience and knowledge in managing projects with typical values ranging from $5,000 to $150,000 is expected, but experience managing projects with budgets in excess of $500,000 would be an asset. Knowledge of a wide range of business sectors and the ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams will also be key to your success. This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise to a highly engaged team, where your efforts and impact will be recognized and valued immensely. At SLR, your demonstrated initiative and can-do attitude will be rewarded with responsibilities and opportunities that will challenge you and allow you significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Preference is for this to be a flexible hybrid position based in Ontario to be with the other regional team members. We are willing to consider flexible/remote locations within Canada for the right candidate. Travel across North America may be required for projects or team related activities. Travel within Canada is a possibility.
