Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager to support a large power generation client in Arizona. This individual will oversee a portfolio of sustaining capital projects across operating generating facilities, including electrical upgrades, control system modernizations, infrastructure improvements, and plant reliability projects.

This role will act as the primary coordinator between plant operations, maintenance, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PM/Project Engineering experience on sustaining capital or brownfield projects.
• Experience in power generation, utilities, manufacturing, oil & gas, mining or heavy industry.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Experience supporting construction and commissioning activities.
• Experience with low- to medium-voltage electrical projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with electrical system upgrades, protection systems, or plant reliability.
• Experience managing Controls/ICS, PLC, DCS, or SCADA projects.
• PMP and/or P.E. designation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of sustaining capital projects across operating facilities.
• Coordinate between plant operations, maintenance, engineering teams, contractors and vendors.
• Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, procurement, construction activities, commissioning support, and turnover within live facilities.
• Demonstrate hands-on stakeholder management and minimize impacts to ongoing operations.

This is a hands on project management role requiring strong stakeholder management and experience executing brownfield capital projects while minimizing impacts to ongoing plant operations.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience within power generation, utilities, manufacturing, oil & gas, mining, or another heavy industrial environment
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally Electrical Engineering
• Experience within power generation facilities
