Job summary

Quik's Farm Ltd. in Chilliwack, BC is seeking a Project Manager to lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

You will collaborate with site personnel and internal teams to plan and execute work efficiently. Responsibilities include developing schedules, coordinating execution strategies, negotiating contracts, and overseeing greenhouse expansion projects across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest USA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in institutional, commercial and civil construction with technical post-secondary education.
• Experience estimating and managing self-performed work activities and subcontracted work.
• Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods for commercial/institutional buildings typical in British Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Plan and execute work with site personnel and internal teams using available resources.
• Conduct site visits to define scope, prepare cost estimates, and develop proposals.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules with milestones and updates.
• Determine execution strategy, including self-perform or subcontracting to meet cost, timeline, quality goals.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Identify risks or issues and implement timely solutions.
• Lead and document progress meetings with clear communication and accountability.
• Meet management regularly to review status, budgets, satisfaction and concerns.
• Plan and oversee greenhouse expansion, including design, budgeting, scheduling, contractor management, integration.

Quik's Farm Ltd. is a cut flower grower based in Chilliwack, BC, with over 20 acres of indoor and an additional 35 acres of seasonal outdoor growing space. Quik's Farm is geared towards the intense production of cut Chrysanthemums, Oriental Lilies, Alstroemeria, and other seasonal crops utilizing state-of-the-art growing systems and leading-edge technology to produce high quality products for our diverse customer base throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest USA. Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with site personnel and internal teams to plan and execute work efficiently using available resources.
• Conduct site visits to define scope of work, prepare cost estimates, and develop project proposals.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project schedules, tracking progress against milestones and providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Determine the appropriate execution strategy for each project, including self-performing work or outsourcing, to meet cost, timeline, and quality objectives.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders to support successful project delivery.
• Identify potential risks or issues proactively and implement timely solutions to minimize impact.
• Lead and document project progress meetings, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
• Meet regularly with the management team to review project status, budgets, and overall satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly.
• Plan and oversee the expansion of greenhouse facilities, including design coordination, budgeting, scheduling, contractor management, and integration with existing operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Work Location: In person

Wages Offered: $37-43 / hour

This position may require you to work on Saturdays and Statutory holidays. There will be no Sunday work.
