Job description

PACE.global is a boutique change management and digital transformation consultancy. We combine advisory, training, and technology enablement to help organizations adopt new ways of working and sustain lasting change. Our clients include large enterprises and federal programs where structure, security, and dependable follow-through

matter.

We deliver on a fixed-fee model, so every engagement is won or lost on whether we deliver what we committed to, on the date we committed to. We are growing quickly, and we are building the delivery systems and team to scale on.

The Role

The Project Manager owns the delivery rhythm, commitments, risk management process, and engagement records across assigned client engagements. You will maintain the structure that allows Strategic Transformation Associates and Leads to focus on client advice and deliverable content, while ensuring PACE.global delivers what it committed to, when it committed to it.

You will run the operating cadence, keep owners accountable to dates, surface risks before they become issues, and maintain trusted plans, logs, trackers, and project records. You will coordinate meetings and follow-ups, so delivery does not depend on intervention from a Lead.

Key Responsibilities
Delivery Rhythm and Governance
  • Set up the integrated project plan, calendar, governance meetings, and workshops before delivery begins.
  • Own the operating cadence across assigned engagements, so Leads and delivery leadership do not need to organize it.
  • Plan and coordinate effective engagement meetings, capture decisions and actions, communicate assignments, and record outputs in the appropriate project and task management systems.
Commitment Assurance
  • Drive client and internal commitments to completion by the promised date.
  • Establish clear ownership, actions, and deadlines; identify blockers and make sure owners understand what is required and by when.
  • Keep due dates visible and reset expectations in advance when a commitment cannot be met as planned.
  • Maintain the production view of each milestone deliverable, including its purpose, components, contributors, deadlines, dependencies, and completion status.
  • Route inputs into the deliverable production pipeline from the start of the work and follow through until each component is complete.
Risk and Scope Visibility
  • Surface scope drift, resource constraints, and delivery risks early within the delivery team.
  • Validate and log identified risks the same day, with a clear owner and next step.
  • Ensure delegated risk actions are understood and actively drive mitigation follow-through.
Engagement Information Integrity
  • Keep project plans, action logs, risk registers, deliverable trackers, stakeholder records, folders, and documents current and reliable.
  • Issue accurate status reporting on the agreed cadence.
Project Management Standard
  • Follow PACE.global's documented Ways of Working.
  • Use the required templates for project deliverables.
What Success Looks Like
  • Zero commitments pass their due date without being completed or reset in advance.
  • Zero surprise issues arise without having first been identified and tracked as a risk.
  • Strategic Transformation Leads do not need to take back scheduling, logistics, follow-up, or tracking work.
  • The delivery cadence is in place before work begins, and every coordinated meeting produces clear, documented outputs.
  • Plans, logs, trackers, stakeholder records, and project folders remain current and trusted.
  • Leads, team members, and clients trust you to keep work moving, flag problems early, and communicate candidly.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally managing concurrent engagements in consulting, professional services, change, or transformation environments.
  • Strong integrity and judgment, with the discipline to report actual status and protect trust.
  • Tactful assertiveness when holding colleagues, leaders, and clients accountable for decisions, dates, and priorities.
  • Tenacity and follow-through, especially when work is blocked, unclear, or competing for attention.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify root causes, distinguish signal from noise, and anticipate delivery risk.
  • Resourcefulness and initiative in finding practical ways through constraints.
  • High standards for planning, organization, meeting execution, documentation, and written communication.
  • Comfort using Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, and Excel; project and task management platforms such as Wrike; and AI tools to support planning, tracking, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, CAPM, or an equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience in change management or digital transformation.
  • Experience supporting federal clients and eligibility for Government of Canada security clearance.
How We Work
  • Curiosity: We seek to understand how work really flows, where decisions are made, and how technology is actually used.
  • Clarity: We identify friction, risk, and rework, and design ways of working around reality rather than aspiration.
  • Candor: We say what needs to be said with respect and care, while remaining open to other valid viewpoints.
  • Commitment: We follow through on what we promise or reset expectations before they are missed.
Why Join PACE.global
  • Own the delivery rhythm of client engagements from setup through completion.
  • Partner with experienced transformation consultants on high-impact enterprise and federal programs.
  • Help shape PACE.global's project delivery practices as the organization scales.
  • Work with a focused team that values clarity, action, and measurable follow-through.
  • Benefit from a flexible, remote-first work environment.
