Introduction

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Life Cycle Services team. You will be responsible for Market Area Project execution and related customer communication. The Project Manager will ensure parts deliveries are tracked and delivered on time to meet customer expectations and site requirements, fulfill contract obligations, and achieve targets for safety, quality, schedule, and budget.

In this position, you will report to the Manager, Project Management, LCS CAN.

This position is mainly located in Montreal, QC, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. It involves up to 10% domestic travel.

Team you belong to

You will join a team of project managers dedicated to managing Metso owned Inventory (MOI) Parts and Services contracts with Metso’s clients in accordance with the organization’s global processes, tools, and policies, utilizing solid project management practices.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage projects, ensuring deliveries are properly resourced, meet customer expectations, fulfill contract obligations, and achieve targets for safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Serve as the customer’s single point of contact for delivery-related queries.
  • Perform SAP functions including project setup, purchase requisitions, inventory management, invoicing, cost runs, and project closeout procedures.
  • Initiate, plan, monitor, control, and close projects as sold by sales or proposal teams.
  • Engage external and internal stakeholders through regular meetings.
  • Delegate deliverables to team members and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Create Salesforce tickets for material, procurement, and delivery updates.
  • Follow robust change management practices for contracts.
  • Maintain project documentation such as Risk Register, Change Log, and Inspection Reports.
  • Manage lessons learned, identify improvement opportunities, and provide feedback to stakeholders.
Who You Are
  • Fluent in English and French (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Solid experience in Project Management; PMP certification is an asset.
  • Proficient in SAP, especially Materials Management & Production Planning modules.
  • Experience in mining or related manufacturing industries is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mineral processing equipment & services is a plus.
  • Understanding of commercial and legal terms.
  • Strong leadership skills with a bias for action and teamwork motivation.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings is a plus.
