Job description

Location : Shanghai & Chengdu | Technical | Full-time

TMO is currently recruiting a project manager with excellent communication skills who is fluent in English and Chinese. The right candidate should ensure successful project delivery to our customers within pre-agreed time frames while maintaining a great team atmosphere.

Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MBA preferred)

Minimum Requirements :

• 3-5 years experience in Object Oriented PHP / Java programming
• 2 years of Project Management experience
• PMP certified

IT Engineering / Developer Background

• Background as a Developer / Programmer who is comfortable looking into source code
• Understanding of technical implications and project requirements of customer business needs
• Ability to provide rough time frames and propose implementation solutions to customers
• Understanding of eCommerce business logic translating into technical requirements

Project Management

• Ability to analyze and separate projects into tasks, milestones, and phases
• Experience with Agile Project Methodologies - stories, epics, sprints
• Ability to create individual weekly plans for team members
• Experience managing a technical team of 8-10 people
• Management of daily stand-up meetings with the team

Customer Relationship

• Delivering the best quality product to customers within pre-agreed time frames
• First-line communication to the client
• Escalating and notifying any irregularities to the client
• Consulting and guiding customers beyond project execution
• Understanding client wishes and requirements, finding technically viable solutions while ensuring the best interest of the customer and TMO

Cross-function

• Reporting in cross-function to our GM and Technical Director for internal training and project follow-up
• Participating in frequent meetings between project managers, project director, and business developers to share knowledge
• Facilitating meetings between the technical team to report technical issues and discuss future improvements

Requirements

• 2 years experience in Project Management
• 3-5 years experience in Object Oriented PHP / Java programming
• PMP Certification
• Experience managing teams
• Dedication to delivering projects within deadlines while adhering to quality standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good spoken English is a requirement; Chinese is a plus
• Knowledge of the China Digital Ecosystem
• Strong interpersonal skills and personal integrity
• Self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Ms Word / Pages, Excel, PowerPoint / Keynote
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is a plus
• Knowledge of MacOS
