JOB OVERVIEW: PROJECT LEADER
This position is responsible for providing project management, technology planning, business area analysis, systems design, and client support services to users of Kwantlen's Information Technology (IT) systems.
General Requirements:
- University degree with a major in Information Technology or Computer Sciences.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in an Information Technology environment, including 5 years of direct experience in enterprise cloud architecture conception and 3 years recent related experience in or supporting post-secondary enterprise systems. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in evaluating, developing, and implementing Enterprise Cloud solutions. This role involves leading projects and working directly with university stakeholders to identify, assess, and document business requirements, transforming end-user needs into technical and functional specifications.
- Progressive technical knowledge, including knowledge of generative AI, best practices in IT certifications such as Project Management, Agile SDLC, and ITIL.
- Certification in LEAN business processing, with proven experience in business process analysis and developing LEAN methodologies.
- Knowledge of modern infrastructures such as storage area networks, virtualization, high availability design, operating systems, network architecture, and enterprise network management systems.
- Strong organizational skills to set priorities, follow-up, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to research, evaluate, and plan the implementation of emerging technologies.
- Skills in architectural design, system design, and heterogeneous systems integration.
- Proven ability to work in a team or highly matrix-managed environment with multiple initiatives and changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently in a busy, diverse environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, in writing and orally.
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including weekends and holidays.
Enterprise Systems Architecture:
- Over 3 years of leadership experience in evaluating, developing, and implementing enterprise architecture, including project coordination, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Certifications in Windows Servers (current), Active Directory (AD), Azure Administrator, and Identity and Access Administrator.
- Over 3 years of experience with authentication protocols such as SSO, MFA, Kerberos, etc.
- More than 4 years managing Windows-based infrastructure with AD, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, Windows domains, and PKI environments.
- Experience with PowerShell and other scripting languages for automation in AD, Azure AD, IAM, and SQL Server Database Administration.
- Expertise in DNS, DHCP, DFS, KMS, LAPS, certificate lifecycle, and Group Policy management in hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
- Experience maintaining AD domains, forests, trusts, controllers, and managing GPOs for device, user, and service account organization, enforcing RBAC and permissions.
- Ability to monitor system performance, security logs, and compliance reports across various environments.
- Capability to collaborate with network, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and provide technical support for identity and authentication services.

Salary Information
Annual salary increases are based on hours worked and anniversary dates.
