Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a project lead to support the sponsor and oversee a work team across cross-sector projects, guiding them from design to rollout and ensuring objectives are met. You will build goals and strategies, manage resources and budgets, coordinate governance, report to sponsors, and interact with external providers and diverse stakeholders.

The role requires six years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree, fluency in French and strong English, and a proven track record of

  • Work on deliverables with contribution managers, ensuring business objectives are met, benefits are delivered, and budgets and timelines are respected
  • Ensure that the material, human and financial resources needed to meet the target business objectives are available
  • Manage, monitor and communicate the roadmap and budget, and define and promote governance
  • Identify and handle project issues and risks
  • Prepare reports and status updates for the project sponsor and other decision-making bodies, and help manage internal and external suppliers

Required

As project lead, you support the project sponsor and oversee a work team involved in cross-sector projects and initiatives to ensure objectives are met. You participate in all the different project phases, from design to rollout. You identify goals, strategies and approaches, and you coordinate efforts for large-scale, innovative projects. You draw on your drive for results and ability to engage others to effectively manage teams and help the organization achieve its objectives. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your specialty area. You are responsible for strategic projects that are organizationally and conceptually complex and require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in many other fields. You lead and serve as specialist to teams and decision-making bodies. You represent Desjardins's position when making agreements with external providers. More specifically, you will be required to:
