Position Overview: Compugen is seeking a Senior Technical Functional Analyst for an initial 1 year contract working remotely. Candidate must currently reside within Canada and be available to work CT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive documentation for requirements, feasibility studies, cost analysis, system design, and specifications for new or existing systems.
- Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies by gathering and analyzing relevant data.
- Analyze functional requirements to map information flow, procedures, and decision points; recommend effective solution alternatives.
- Define and document interfaces between manual and automated processes, external systems, and integration points between new and legacy systems.
- Specify input/output sources and create detailed plans for the technical design phase.
- Document all system components, their interfaces, and the operational environment.
- Design and define data structures, files, sub-systems, modules, programs, batch and online processes, production monitoring, testing strategies, and system workflows.
- Prepare and present detailed system design documentation for approval, including system concepts and facilities.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs.
- Collaborate with developers to model, prototype, and deliver fully functional systems, including forms, manuals, data files, and procedures.
- Implement systems to support organizational, departmental, or business-level initiatives.
- Develop, update, and maintain technical procedures and standards.
- Stay current with business standards, policies, and operational processes.
- Provide expert analysis and consultation on production system performance, scalability, security, and maintenance.
- Lead and coordinate data file conversions, including mapping, interface development, mock and live conversions, and data validation.
- Manage data import and restructuring from diverse sources and formats.
- Contribute to project planning and execution by supporting work breakdown structures and project plans.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Progressive experience managing technology projects of varying size and complexity
- Ability to direct, influence and inspire others to optimize performance and achieve goals.
- Ability to influence team members without direct authority.
- Undergraduate degree or Professional Certification
- 7+ years of relevant experience in this role – Preferably with a recognized professional certification.
