AtkinsRéalis Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced architect/engineer to join the ALTO program, helping shape the future of high‑speed rail station design in Canada.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and work with public and private partners to deliver innovative, passenger‑centric infrastructure. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a proven track record on major transportation projects, with emphasis on regulatory compliance and lifecycle considerations.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or related discipline.
• P.Eng in Ontario is an asset.
• 5+ years of relevant experience on major transportation projects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex, highly regulated infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in leading multidisciplinary design of stations or large transportation buildings.

Responsabilidades

• Define project goals, timelines, and deliverables with Station Design Manager.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design of HSR stations from concept through IFC.
• Assist governance: design reviews, change management, configuration management, and decision traceability.
• Ensure design compliance with Canadian codes and passenger experience standards.
• Drive interface management between stations and rail systems, civil works, energy systems, and third‑party developments.
• Collaborate with regulators and stakeholders for permitting, accessibility, and environmental processes.
• Incorporate lifecycle cost, safety, sustainability, and maintainability into design decisions.
• Support procurement and tender preparation, including scope definition and criteria.

Job Description Overview

Join a world‑class infrastructure program and help shape the future of high‑speed rail transportation in Canada. As part of the ALTO program, you will play a key role in the design and integration of innovative, high‑performance, and passenger‑centric HSR stations, working closely with multidisciplinary teams as well as public and private partners.

Your role

• Collaborate with Station Design Manager to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client requirements and overall business objectives.
• Coordinate the multidisciplinary design of HSR stations and associated facilities, from concept through IFC, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Assist in the establishment and enforcement of technical governance, including design reviews, change management, configuration management, and decision traceability.
• Support the team in ensuring design compliance with project requirements, technical standards, Canadian codes and regulations, as well as passenger experience standards.
• Assist to drive interface management between stations and rail systems, civil works, energy systems, municipal infrastructure, and third‑party developments.
• Assist in the collaboration with regulatory authorities and stakeholders to support permitting, approvals, accessibility requirements, and environmental processes.
• Support the integration of operational, safety, sustainability, maintainability, and life‑cycle cost considerations into design decisions.
• Support procurement and tender preparation, including scope definition, technical criteria, and proposal evaluations.

About you

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Registered as Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario is an asset.
• Has a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience on major projects in transportation.
• Demonstrates the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex, highly regulated infrastructure/transportation project environments.
• Has strong expertise in the leading multidisciplinary design of stations or large‑scale transportation buildings, including architecture, structures, MEP systems, and life safety.
• Proven ability to manage technical interfaces, risks, costs, and schedules at the scale of a major program.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with executive‑level stakeholders, authorities, and external partners.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, is required; proficiency in French is an asset.
