Job summary

CB&I in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Project Engineer to manage engineering scope on industrial projects. The role reports to the Manager of Engineering and involves coordinating discipline leads, scheduling, budgeting, and document control.

It requires direct interaction with clients and CB&I functions across management, procurement, and subcontracting. Ideal candidates have a Civil/Structural/Mechanical background, PE licensure, and 3+ years in project engineering for large industrial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering Licence in at least one province preferred.
• 3+ years of project engineering experience in large industrial projects.
• Experience with storage tanks and/or pressure vessels and familiar with API 650/API 620 and ASME VIII Div 1/Div 2.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task.
• French an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and coordinates the engineering and design discipline leads on an assigned project.
• Lead execution of engineering deliverables including schedule, budget, document controls, and manpower staffing.
• Establishes project procedures to ensure deliverables meet client and project requirements.
• Ensures effective communications among engineering disciplines.
• Reviews work with client, management, and functional leads.
• Identifies problems and coordinates with the engineering team to correct.
• Proactively identifies and manages change.
• Maintains focus on CB&I's end product across engineering, fabrication, and construction.
