Job summary

CIMA+ seeks a senior project engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Canada. You will support the delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects, lead technical work packages, and mentor junior staff while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time performance. With a B.Sc.

or M.Sc. in engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage client relations, and contribute to proposals and business development.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 8 years of relevant technical and project experience within consulting, specifically in municipal water/wastewater systems (distribution, conveyance, treatment plants, pumping stations, etc.)
  • Eligible for or registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario and/or other provinces
  • Strong technical background in water and wastewater systems, with experience across various project phases (conceptual design, pre-design, detailed design, and construction administration)
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with experience in client coordination
  • Commitment to delivering innovative, practical, and technically sound solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently while meeting project deadlines
  • Integrity, team spirit, and a commitment to excellence

Responsibilities

  • Support the project management and delivery of preliminary and detailed designs for municipal water and wastewater servicing projects
  • Lead technical work packages on multidisciplinary projects
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating work with technical teams to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, health and safety, and risk management requirements
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, risks, and performance metrics
  • Assisting with timely preparation of invoices and supporting project financial tracking
  • Proactive communication with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff and designers
  • Supporting business development activities, including preparing technical components for proposals and project pursuits
