EnVision Consultants Ltd. in Mississauga is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Land Development team. You will collaborate with clients and the GTA team on land development projects, manage design teams, and help advance projects from concept to approvals.

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in a consulting environment focused on GTA land development.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
• Working knowledge of land development approvals process in Ontario.
• Proven client relationship management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients and the Land Development team on GTA land development projects.
• Help manage the design team and ensure client expectations and unit standards are met.
• Obtain land development approvals and liaise between client and authorities.
• Assist with proposals and other business development activities; aid with project finances.
• Mentor staff and support their development and growth; foster positive work environment.
• Support Health & Safety programs and collaborate with other EnVision disciplines.
• Travel to sites within GTA and Ontario as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $140,000.00 Annually

As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:

• Work with clients and the Land Development team on GTA land development projects
• Helping to manage the design team and ensuring client expectations and business unit standards are met
• Obtaining land development approvals and acting as a liaison between client and approving authorities
• Participating in the preparation of proposals and other business development activities and aid with financial management of projects
• Mentoring staff and assisting with their development and growth
• Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment
• Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs
• Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects
• Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed
• Any other functions assigned as part of your employment

To apply to this position, you should expect to have:

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 5-10 years of experience in a consulting environment focused on GTA land development projects
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
• Working knowledge of the land development approvals process in Ontario
• Project management experience is an asset
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
• Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
• A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance
