ABB in Canada is seeking a Project Engineering Intern to support the execution of LV/MV drive projects. You will assist in reviewing customer specs, preparing interface drawings, control schematics, and maintaining project databases.

Under supervision, you will learn ABB standards and contribute to continuous improvement while gaining practical hands-on experience in a real project environment and collaborating with engineering, project management, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineers in execution of LV/MV voltage drive projects.
• Review and interpret customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
• Prepare and revise engineering documentation including interface drawings, control schematics, and project deliverables.
• Maintain engineering records, documentation packages, and project databases.
• Participate in project review meetings and technical discussions.
• Coordinate between engineering, project management, operations and factory teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements within Project Engineering.
• Track deliverables and milestones to support on-time execution.
• Learn ABB engineering standards, tools and product architecture for medium voltage drives.
• Support technical investigations and engineering calculations as required.

As a Project Engineering Intern within ABB's Motion High Power Systems team, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the execution of customer projects for industrial LV/MV drive systems. Working under the supervision of experienced Project Engineers, you will contribute to engineering documentation, customer requirement analysis, project coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing practical engineering skills in a real project environment.

Your Role: Take on the Challenge

• Assist Project Engineers in the execution of LV/MV voltage drive projects.
• Support the review and interpretation of customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
• Contribute to the preparation and revision of engineering documentation including interface drawings, control schematics, and project deliverables.
• Assist in maintaining engineering records, documentation packages, and project databases.
• Participate in project review meetings and technical discussions.
• Support communication and coordination between engineering, project management, operations, and factory engineering teams.
• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities within the Project Engineering department.
• Help track engineering deliverables and project milestones to support on-time project execution.
• Learn ABB engineering standards, tools, processes, and product architecture for medium voltage drive systems.
• Provide support for technical investigations, document reviews, and engineering calculations as required.

• French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside of Quebec.
