Agilus is recruiting for a Project Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in the Oil and Gas industry in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Project Engineer-in-Training (EIT) will support our client's pipeline project team by contributing to both engineering and administrative functions. The primary focus will be assisting with the execution of the Field Programs (survey, environmental assessments, and land-related activities) through summer 2025, transitioning to support of Detailed Engineering in fall 2025. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized individual eager to contribute to project success while gaining valuable experience.

Responsibilities :
  • Field Program Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day vendor activities, including execution, technical tasks, and reporting.
  • Field Dispatching Support & Quality Control: Oversee and ensure accuracy in dispatching activities, supporting smooth execution.
  • Support various project needs through other duties as assigned.
  • Administrative & Engineering Support: Assist with requisitions, invoice reviews, receipt tracking, change orders, decision records, meeting agendas/minutes, transmittals, documentation, and template creation requiring engineering input.
  • FEED Support: Contribute to Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) efforts by assisting with technical reviews, maintaining project WBS, schedule, risk register, cost tracking, and progress reporting.
Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, registered with APEGA as an EIT or P.Eng
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools; experience with SharePoint and Power BI is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
  • For new graduates, co-op or internship experience in oil and gas or pipeline projects is a bonus.
