Location : Edmonton | Term : 1-Year Contract | Hybrid (3–4 Days In-Office Weekly), preference for full-time in office.

Detail-oriented and motivated Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support a major natural gas pipeline project in Alberta. This is a valuable opportunity for a junior engineer to gain hands-on experience in both field execution and engineering coordination on a high-profile infrastructure project.

Position Overview

The EIT will initially support Field Programs, such as survey work, environmental assessments, and land-related activities through summer 2025. In the fall, the focus will shift toward supporting detailed engineering tasks. The role includes a mix of technical and administrative responsibilities that contribute directly to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Program Coordination: Manage daily coordination of vendor activities and technical field program execution.
  • Field Dispatch & Quality Control: Support dispatching processes and maintain accuracy in field operations.
  • Submit requisitions, review invoices, and manage receipts and change orders.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Organize transmittals and documentation per project control procedures.
  • Assist with engineering templates and document preparation.
  • Assist in technical reviews such as material numbers, simple calculations, and integration across work packages.
  • Help maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), risk register, cost tracking, and progress reporting.

Qualifications

  • Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with APEGA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a team environment.

Location & Schedule :

  • Edmonton (hybrid model: 3–4 days / week in office).
  • Option to work fully in-office if preferred.

Start Date

As soon as possible (ideally within 4 weeks).
