Job summary

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
• 3+ years in engineering project coordination or management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience with scheduling tools (Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet).
• Knowledge of DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754A is a plus.
• Familiarity with TCCA/FAA certification processes is preferred.
• PMP or similar certification is an asset.
• Experience with DOORS or Jama is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project plans, engineering estimates, and status reports.

• Identify risks and support mitigation plans.
• Ensure documentation meets DAO quality and regulatory requirements.
• Drive actions to closure and escalate concerns when required.
• Support continuous improvement of DAO project management processes.

We're Hiring: Aerospace Project Engineer - Permanent - Kelowna, BC

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Project Engineer to join a Design Approval Organization (DAO) in Kelowna, BC.

This role will coordinate and drive the execution of multiple STC development programs, working closely with engineering, program management, customers, suppliers, and regulatory stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage schedules for concurrent STC development programs
• Track certification milestones, stage-gate reviews, deliverables, and action items
• Prepare project plans, engineering estimates, and regular status reports
• Coordinate across engineering, program management, sales, customers, vendors, and subcontractors
• Support proposals, scope definition, scheduling, and resource planning
• Manage certification documentation, configuration control, compliance matrices, and deliverable registers
• Identify project and technical risks and support mitigation plans
• Ensure documentation meets DAO quality and regulatory requirements
• Drive project actions to closure and elevate schedule or scope concerns when required
• Support continuous improvement of DAO project management processes

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• 3+ years of engineering project coordination or project management experience
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Experience with project scheduling and tracking tools such as Jira, MS Project, or Smartsheet
• Experience with Jira and Confluence is highly desirable
• Strong technical documentation and stakeholder management skills
• Aerospace or avionics experience is a strong asset
• Familiarity with STC development and TCCA/FAA certification processes is preferred
• Knowledge of DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, and/or ARP4754A is an asset
• Experience with DOORS or Jama is beneficial
• PMP or similar project management certification is an asset
