Role Summary

Woodgrove Technologies Inc. has an opening for a Project Engineer, effective immediately. The position is located in Toronto, near the intersection of Sheppard and Allen Road. The ideal candidate will preferably hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with 5+ years of experience. The Project Engineer will be responsible for various tasks within the Engineering Team.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Generating and managing project deliverables (Equipment Data Sheets, Calculations, Equipment Lists, drawings, etc.).
2. Sizing equipment such as instruments, valves, piping, etc.
3. Creating equipment requests for sizing and communicating with vendors.
4. Collaborating with the CAD team to produce high-quality PFDs, PIDs, GADs, Outline, and Fabrication drawings.
5. Reviewing drawings and documents.
6. Performing engineering calculations.
7. Communicating and engaging with engineering companies and clients regarding project work.
8. Reviewing and understanding client and regional specifications, codes, standards, and requirements.
9. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as API 650/620, AWWA, ANSI, ASTM, etc., is an asset.
10. Familiarity with typical project workflows and experience working with or for EPCs.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor of Engineering Degree (preferably in Mechanical, but other disciplines will be considered).
2. Experience: 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
3. Strong interpersonal skills.
4. Understanding of Fluid Mechanics and its application to piping and pressure loss calculations.
5. Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
6. Strong work ethic, discipline, and attention to detail are essential.
