Qualifications

• Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering Degree
• Prior experience in pulp & paper or other heavy industrial projects is considered an asset – New Graduates will be considered
• Ability to successfully execute within a team environment
• Ability to lead cross-functional project teams involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed in a cost-effective, timely, reliable, and safe manner
• Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
• Demonstrates ownership, initiative, attention to detail, and a drive to ensure tasks are done correctly the first time
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer, you will lead and manage multi-disciplinary capital projects from concept development to start-up. Your responsibilities include guiding a team through all project phases such as scope definition, funding applications, detailed engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities. You will ensure projects are executed safely, comply with environmental regulations, stay within budget and schedule, and meet all technical, performance, and quality objectives.
