Join a leading company in the energy sector as a Project Engineer II, where you'll play a crucial role in managing projects and providing contractor support in Edmonton, Alberta.

Role Overview

Perform engineering design evaluations and work to complete projects within budget and schedule. Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Review reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to identify or address issues. Provide technical support for the engineering process.

Responsibilities include:

1. Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
2. Identify and source long lead equipment, supporting Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractors until equipment is assigned.
3. Coordinate development of Capital Project Management System deliverables.
4. Develop Functional Interaction Plans.
5. Manage project issues resolution processes.
6. Ensure completion of assigned work scope aligns with project objectives.
7. Collaborate with the project team and functional resources to ensure design and construction meet specifications and standards.
8. Serve as the interface between the project team and contractors.
9. Facilitate smooth transitions between project stages.
10. Lead the Project Management Team (PMT) in applying project management systems.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering, construction, and project management activities.
• Multidisciplinary skill set.
• Knowledge of design standards, specifications, and work processes.
• Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
