Equinox Gold Corp. is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and provide engineering support for water management infrastructure, mine infrastructure and waste dumps at our Geraldton site.
You will oversee RFPs and coordinate with external consultants and the project execution team. The role requires practical civil/mining project experience, strong design coordination, consultant management, and effective communication with the project team.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing engineering support for construction projects related to water management infrastructure, shear key construction for waste dumps, and various ad hoc infrastructure projects at the mine site. This role acts as a package manager for assigned Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
The role works closely with external consultants, contractors, and the project execution team in the planning, design, procurement, and implementation of projects.
Acting primarily in a technical capacity, the Project Engineer develops scopes of work, supports Requests for Proposals (RFPs), responds to technical inquiries from contractors, and coordinates engineering deliverables. The role also contributes to select in-house design activities and ensures technical information is effectively communicated between consultants and the project execution team.
The successful candidate has practical experience in civil, mining, water management, or tailings-related projects and a strong understanding of engineering design coordination, consultant management, and project development within an operating mine environment.
The salary range for this position is from$100,966.00to$123,403.00.
