This structured hybrid role requires in-office work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with Wednesdays and Fridays set for home office work.

The ideal candidate will read architectural drawings and prepare cost estimates aligned with profit targets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing estimating support to assigned Sales Region(s).
• Supplying recommendations for product application solutions for specific project requirements.
• Coordinating information requests for drawings, cost estimates, etc., with other departments.
• Providing technical information and proposals for developing projects.
• Making pricing decisions and estimates within prescribed limits on a project-to-project basis.
• Preparing and distributing quotes/bids on projects.
• Recording and reporting bid activity in assigned regions.
• Reviewing and negotiating customer contracts to verify scope of work.

This is a structured hybrid position which requires working in our Owatonna, MN facility: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Wednesdays and Fridays are home office workdays. Therefore, candidates must reside within reasonable drivable distance to the facility.

At a minimum, you'll need:

• 2 years work experience
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to learn product/application knowledge
• Ability to make decisions involving complex sales/profit relationships
• Ability to read architectural drawings
• Demonstrated computer skills
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and to operate with continually changing priority needs

Highly qualified candidates may also possess:

As a Project Cost Estimator, a typical day may include:
