Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Cost Controller to join the Construction/project control team in Canada. You will manage cost control activities, prepare month-end accruals and support project budgets and forecasts.

Reporting to the Superintendent, Project Control, you will liaise with contract administrators and the accounts payable department, maintain cost tracking logs and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with SAP and JDE is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the month end accruals.
• Liaise with contract administrator to collect month end progress payment certificates and liaise with expeditor for certificates.
• Export and import project data from ERP system into project variance reporting tools.
• Review purchase requisitions for proper coding.
• Review change orders and bid analysis documents and provide budget information.
• Maintain budget/forecast/business case tracking log and monitor cost to date and forecast.
