Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines in Canada is seeking a Finance professional to lead accounting close processes, ensure accuracy of divisional reporting, and support audits and SOX compliance. You will supervise the finance team and coordinate with the Corporate Office on financial statements.

The role requires a CPA and 5–10 years in finance, with strong English communication and MS Office skills. Hybrid work options are available with offices in Mirabel, Val-d’Or or Rouyn-Noranda.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with CPA designation.
• 5-10 years of experience in financial/accounting field.
• Mining experience is an asset.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Agnico Eagle Mines' accounting standards (internal controls, policies, and procedures).
• Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the closing and reporting of the divisional books on a monthly and a quarterly basis.
• Approve and submit final quarterly reports, analyses, and financial statements to the head office on established schedules.
• Responsible for audits of the divisions and timely responses to auditors.
• Provide active support to the departments in respecting SOX compliance.
• Manage and supervise the administrative sub‑department (invoicing and timesheets).
• Manage expense reports process.
• Communicate with Corporate Office, CSD and external auditors on reporting or audit matters.
• Ensure planning versions comply with Agnico Eagle standards.
• Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and planning exercises.
• Supervise and coach the finance team members.
• Provide support to the Financial Reporting Superintendent for analyses.
