Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator (Strategic Capture ) to join our Canadian Business Acquisition team. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, or professional equivalent related field and posses 1+ years of consulting engineering experience in critical infrastructure markets, such as roadways, highways, railway, bridges, environmental, etc. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development of strategic initiatives and tactical capture plans, identify new business opportunities, and support the growth of infrastructure markets across Canada.

As a Strategic Capture Coordinator, you will support Capture Managers in developing and presenting strategic technical proposals, business development initiatives, and pre-positioning materials for various local infrastructure markets, such as transportation, transit, structures, environmental, and water. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and monitor strategic opportunities that drive new business growth and promote Parsons’ expertise and successful past performance.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of business acquisition and capture management processes, including coordinating with internal teams to gather necessary information and ensuring timely submissions, and other business development-related activities. · Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to understand project requirements and tailor business development efforts accordingly.
  • Maintain the accuracy of pipeline records (customer relationship management (CRM) system) and historical opportunity data.
  • Perform intelligence gathering for analyzing industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify growth areas.
  • Prepare presentation materials and pre-positioning documents, scheduling meetings, follow-ups, client meetings and communications.
  • Contribute to the development of capture strategies under the guidance of senior management and coordinating team inputs.
  • Develop compelling proposal narratives and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for qualification (RFQs), and requests for information (RFIs).
  • Identify win themes, key discriminators, and pricing strategies that demonstrate Parsons’ value proposition.
  • Attend networking events to represent the company and build professional relationships.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities.
  • Establish and maintain a repository of best practices, templates, and resources to support future capture efforts and enable organizational learning.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and within Parsons different regions, emerging market trends, and evolving client requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, or professional equivalent related field
  • 1+ years of consulting engineering experience in critical infrastructure markets, such as roadways, highways, railway, bridges, environmental, etc.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Knowledge of Canadian transportation markets, regional municipalities and provincial ministry clients is an asset.
  • Exceptional writing skills, driven on strategy execution and business growth to ensure high-quality, competitive submissions.
  • Strong communication skills to assist capture teams through the entire pursuit lifecycle.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in a fast-paced, complex work environment, with the ability to multitask, support multiple initiatives at once and quickly shifting priorities. Familiarity with Salesforce/CRM is an asset (training available for the successful candidate).
