Role Overview

The Project Coordinator supports the Climate-Ready Plans and Processes (CRPP) within the Local Leadership in Climate Adaptation (LLCA) initiative. Responsibilities include managing program files, guiding applicants through funding processes, coordinating reporting, reviewing project reports, and supporting program improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Guide applicants through the application process, ensure receipt and completeness of applications, and coordinate with Project Officers.
  2. Assist in application review logistics and document accessibility.
  3. Coordinate recipient reporting, conduct status update calls, and monitor project health.
  4. Review final reports, prepare disbursement recommendations, and manage disbursement forms.
  5. Contribute to process improvements and share knowledge with applicants and recipients.
  6. Review project reports for significant results and lessons learned.
  7. Coordinate travel, accommodations, and expense processing.
  8. Participate in cross-functional team projects, working groups, and organizational initiatives.
  9. Identify and monitor risks, develop and evaluate risk responses.
Qualifications
  • University degree in business administration, project management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience evaluating contracts or grant/loan programs.
  • Strong knowledge of funding/granting processes and adherence requirements.
  • Service-oriented with bilingual proficiency in English and French.
  • Professional attitude with good judgment and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems; project management and legal contract knowledge are assets.
  • Understanding of municipal sector and climate adaptation principles is an asset.
