Our client is a leading Engineering, Procurement, Construction Company with expertise in oil sands, refining, petrochemicals and pipeline segments, covering both operational and engineering aspects.

Currently, we are recruiting for a:

Project Coordinator / Field Engineer

The Project Coordinator reports directly to the Construction Project Manager and will be responsible for providing assistance to senior staff in covering multiple functions including scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting, and quality control.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Works with the Construction Project Manager to establish a cost reporting system for all project components.
  2. Monitors daily, weekly, and monthly labour, equipment, material, and subtrade costs. Monitors cost accruals and reviews with the Construction Project Manager on a regular basis.
  3. Develops a schedule with the assistance of the Construction Project Manager and assists with the development of bi-weekly schedules. Monitors and updates schedules on a regular basis. Reviews and monitors actual construction vs. schedule. Identifies critical path and keeps abreast of manpower loading and materials deliveries.
  4. Controls drawings, drawing records, and revisions.
  5. Controls site instructions and change orders.
  6. Maintains all QA/QC documentation and records of all testing and inspections.
  7. Ensures that all technical aspects of the work conform to all applicable codes and standards.
  8. Ensures that all work is completed accurately (i.e., survey).
  9. Obtains and provides written documentation for all clarifications and instructions, attends all regular meetings.
  10. Assists and monitors all payroll functions to ensure proper coding and cost allocation.
  11. Assists with preparing progress invoicing and progress status reports.
  12. Completes estimates, reviews estimates, and assists in costing.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  1. Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering degree.
  2. 5+ years of experience in an Oil & Gas environment.
  3. Good communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
