BGC East Scarborough is seeking a Project Coordinator for Enhanced Social/Emotional Learning for Children to ensure effective delivery of the program within funding guidelines and regulatory requirements.

The role supports staff development, collaboration with project participants, and community engagement, reporting to the Director of Child Care, Early Years & Inclusion Services. 37.5 hours/week with a 6-month contract term.

Qualifications

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma required.
  • Member of College of Early Childhood Educators – in good standing.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (infant and child).
  • Up-to-date immunization.
  • Knowledge ofCCEYA, Toronto Children’s Services AQI, ELECT/ELF, and “How Does LearningHappen?”
  • Minimum 5 yearsof supervisory experience in licensed childcare settings
  • Strongleadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient inMicrosoft Office and administrative tasks
  • HIGH FIVETraining is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Coordinatetraining opportunities in line with the project guidelines forparticipating child care staff
  • Track trainingopportunities and completions for participating child care staff
  • Develop projectmaterials; i.e. information packages, consent forms, documentation forms
  • Engage familiesto participate in the project
  • Support staffproject participants in planning and implementing targeted programming
  • Support staffproject participants in identifying and purchasing appropriate materialsand equipment for targeted programming
  • Oversee staffproject participants observations, screenings, documentation
  • Liaise withcommunity project partners
  • Documentfeedback/observations from community project partners
  • Maintain cleardocumentation of all project components
  • Generate internalreports regarding project
  • Generate externalproject reports for funders
  • Compile projectmanual/toolkit to support ongoing utilization and implementation ofproject

The ProjectCoordinator – Enhanced Social/Emotional Learning for Children is responsiblefor ensuring the effective delivery of the Enhanced Social/Emotional Learningfor Children project.
